I saw this picture this morning and thought it was pretty good.
It made me think of something I read or heard a long time ago. Not making a decision is in and of itself a decision.
Many times there is no clear cut good or bad decision. It is a decision that may set you on a different path that's all.
Obviously, some things are bad decisions.
Like eating something you are allergic to or buying something you can't afford.
But, sitting on the fence for days or months is going to accomplish nothing.
You can't decide so nothing changes.
I know I shouldn't giggle but I did. Sorry. The opening poster (although cruel) is funny and it is so true. If we are too indecisive, opportunities pass us by. Great post. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteNicola, giggle away! Finding the funny is the way to get through life.
DeleteYep, have to suck it up and make a decision one way or the other.
ReplyDeletePat, indeed.
DeleteSo true. As we say here, "Shit or get off the pot!"
ReplyDeleteJeff, my husband says that too. Which is ironic as it takes him forever to decide.
DeleteLife is like a squirrel. Very Nice Post... but you know that, that's why you posted it! Right!
ReplyDeleteWelcome in the letter "D"... thank you!

ReplyDeleteStanding in front of the toilet paper aisle at the supermarket is a good way to practice making decisions. Nevermind! :-)
ReplyDeletePS I deleted the other post which was the same because I misspelled toilet! Sorry about that.
Coffee Lady, So many choices of tp. Do you take a chance on the cheap Mexican made or Quilted Northern?
DeleteI like that quote and so true! Quick decisive decisions I think work the best in the long run (at least for me)
ReplyDeletebetty
I do better with quick decisions too.
DeleteThat is a decision....to do nothing, not a great one but one regardless
ReplyDeleteBirgit, it is. Sometimes it can turn out well and sometimes not.
DeleteI agree - about flat squirrels and the need to decide. We're likely to have second thoughts and regrets anyway, so just decide. Time and life are too precious not to.
ReplyDeleteHey, Robyn! People worry about the what if. No matter what, you are gonna wonder what if anyway.
DeleteMrs. Penwasser decided to marry me almost 30 years ago.
ReplyDeleteShe choose...wisely?
Al, I am sure she believes it was wise. You are still married.
DeleteThere are definitely days when I need to remember this quote; it is so true. And what a great way to encourage decisiveness. Hopefully I will never become a flat squirrel. :)
