FICO This!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am a person.
A person with a name.

I am not just a number.
Or am I?

Why should a number determine how much I pay for anything or even if I can even buy it?

Look at ME!
Here I am.

I am so much more than a number.

How many times have I heard that from institutions?

"You are more than just a number to us.
You may have had problems in the past but we will give you a chance."

Bullshit!

OK, so my score isn't the highest.
But, I can pay for things and I shouldn't have to pay more just cause my score isn't 800.

Through no fault of my own, we have had financial difficulties.
Things are better now, but we are still being punished.

I don't work outside of the home and that always goes against us.

I could be bringing home a paycheck and spending more money on another car and gas, and lunches and conveniences foods and than to the banks, we'd be good.

How does that make sense?

I might be bringing more money in but I'd be spending all of it and than some.
So, doesn't it make more sense to stay home?

By staying home, I save money by having time to fix more nutritious meals.
I have time to garden and freeze and can what I grow.

I don't have to buy work clothes or have transportation costs.

And I am slowly learning how to make money online, by doing surveys and paid emails along with a few other things.

But, instead of companies saying you do so good- they say you need more income.

We just bought a new riding mower and we are having to pay interest out the ass for it because of problems 4 years ago.

My husband had been laid off and had trouble finding a job and I couldn't find one for more than $6 an hour.
And unlike now, where the government keeps extending unemployment benefits- we were just shit out of luck.

Truthfully, I don't even know how we even made it.

But, we did and our credit went to shit.

Things are better now.

But we still are paying 8.25% fixed rate on a house. We can't get an FHA loan without doing work to the house we can't afford.
We can't get a regular loan cause our combined score is not high enough.

We are in a vicious circle.

I am all for abolishing the FICO score and make institutions look at all of us as though we counted.
They don't ever look at why bills were late or what was going on in your life.
Sorry mortgage company, my daughter was in the ICU and I forgot the bill was due.
Bite Me!

FICO needs to go!

Just Do It!

Who am I?
Nike?

Why, yes...
Yes, I am.

I have been seriously lagging in my online activities lately.

So, today I am going to just do it.

Kiddo is gone so I have plenty of time to get done lots of stuffs.

Another computer might be helpful sometimes.

Well, technically, I do have another computer.

But, it is old and slow and not compatible with most things on the internet these days.
Windows 98 SE with barely any RAM to be able to say I have any.

I seriously need to look into upgrading that one so we have a second one in the house.
With my money making ventures and Honeyman's ebay selling we could use one.
And can't forget Kiddo with her Foo pets and pokefarm.

I don't think it would take much to get it usable.
More a problem of where to put it.

Did I ever tell you my house is tiny?

Maybe I will look into computer upgrades today.
Along with everything else.

Oh, I need a new monitor for it too.

Well, I will look into it and figure everything out.

Why Should I pay for what Other People Do?

It shouldn't surprise me at all, but it does piss me off.

OK, we need a new mower.
Decided on a John Deere this time and found a good one.
Applied for credit.
Now, we sit and wait to hear back.
We can't get approved instantly since Honeyman had to put a credit alert on his credit report.
He had to do that cause the database at his work got hacked into and identities were stolen.
So as a precaution we had to put it on there.

But, we need a mower so I hope we hear sooner rather than later.

Than today...
I get the phone bill.

I signed up for a bundle and it was supposed to be activated the 1st, get a call the 6th that it would be activated that night.
Now, I get a bill charging me for those days that I was supposed to have been covered by the new plan.
And it is Saturday so I can't call and complain.

And I have a bad feeling this will end up costing me more than I was told.
She was supposed to have included everything like taxes when she told me cost per month.

But, I don't know.

And they are the only phone company so it is not like I can go anywhere else if they won't remedy the situation.
But don't think I won't try.

I got the lame excuse of volume of calls.
But why should I have to pay for their screw-up?
But I think they are going to expect me to.

I trusted them to do what they said they would and I get crapped on.

Ooooohhhhh!!!

Give me someone to choke!

Yes, Yes. Here I AM

So, I know it's been a while.
You are probably wondering what happened to me.

Well, I didn't fall into a rabbit hole
or anything spectacular like that.

I just went on vacation.

I got back and had to do things to get caught up with household things.

We went to MN.
Whoo!

Just for a few days.
Nothing monumental.
But, it was relaxing.

Got a great deal on the hotel and it was close to everywhere we went.
So, it was great.

Clear!!!!!

Ok, so I am watching a movie tonight.
Ok, to be honest, just half-assed watching it.
But, I noticed something very interesting.

Cops were coming in with their guns and not finding anything so they yell
Clear!!!

And I realized doctors and EMT s yell clear when they are using defibrillators on patients.

Are you with me so far?
There is a connection.

They are both emergency responders.

Do you think there is a class?
For yelling "Clear!"

Clear Class 101.
I don't think they need a 102.

What do ya think?

Learn how to say "Clear!" with authority.
Leave no doubt that you mean business.

I bet it's an easy A.
If I didn't get an A in that class I'd start to wonder about my success as a human being.

Or maybe 101 would be for medical personnel and 102 would be for law enforcement.

Just a thought!
