Nobody said life was fair or that it was a walk in the park.
However...
Nobody told me it be so hard either.
I never file claims with my car insurance.
However...
I keep paying higher premiums and my car is getting older.
It's time for a raise at work.
However...
That extra $20 a paycheck went to taxes and the health insurance premium raise was more then the raise in pay.
One of the goals of this blogfest is theoretically to gain followers.
However...
I seem to have lost one.
Which really doesn't matter because half my followers never blog anymore anyway.
However...
I wanted to use another "However".
So clever Ruth!! Yeah I must admit I am not trying to get followers this go round- would love to have them but too much trouble haha :)
ReplyDeleteLynn, I am right there with you.
DeleteThanks!
Life-Nobody gets out alive.
ReplyDeleteYikes. That's deep.
Al, are you sure about that?
DeleteWell, except for vampires.
DeleteOh, but they're dead, too.
I've just run rings 'round myself logically.
What was that movie where they found a way to cure vampires? They turned back to live humans.
DeleteDaybreakers!
DeleteWho needs 'em!
ReplyDeleteSusie, I know! I must just be too awesome for them. ;)
DeleteI am guilty of not writing enough, but what can I do. If I have an issue or something to write about I just sit down and start typing. I try to comment whenever I see a post.
ReplyDeleteWe paid more than in tax preparation than what we are getting back. My hubby kins does not believe that I can use all the loop holes ( which we do not have any to begin with). There fore we end up paying for preparing taxes, which I could do my self. Go figure.
However is so true in a lot of cases that I just accept them.
Munir, my husband use to have us pay too. I put my foot down and he agreed.
DeleteGreat minds think alike. I've often said and thought "Nobody told me life would be so darn hard."
ReplyDeleteHowever, you manage to keep your spirits up, Ruth. Keep doing it.
Robyn, you gotta laugh or cry.
Deletehowever........
ReplyDeleteEverything seems to be the truth. Ha
Yes, it is, Manzanita.
DeleteVisiting from A/Z. Have you looked into other insurance companies? Doesn't seem right if your premiums are going up and you haven't had any claims. I do look at the number of followers I have but you are right, half are not blogging or half have never commented on my blog in the first place so not sure why they are following along.
ReplyDeletebetty
Betty, our insurance company is the cheapest. A friend of mine does insurance and has said before that they can't be beat. They just are raising everyone's across the board. You call the agent about the rates for car or house and it's the same thing. Claims filed are up because of this or that and they go by across the country even though our company is from Iowa. As long as the board approves the increases, they will just continue to do it.
DeleteI don't know why people follow and don't read. Some people follow too many, but once in a while is nice.
However, you did get me as a follower - not that it's worth much, lol.
ReplyDeleteDo you work where I work?
Annual insurance raises are equal or slightly higher than the pay increase. This year everyone else got a raise but because of where I'm at on the pay scale mine was frozen. How is that for incentive? Oh well life goes on I guess.

Jeff, I thank you for the follow.
DeleteMy husband keeps saying we are going backwards because everything goes up faster than the raises. Last year he got 3 cents. He had just gotten his 90 day raise 5 months before so they thought he didn't need one but as a good faith gesture they were upping the pay. This year he got 22 cents. But, when he works his ass off, they send him thank you cards. Eh? Who needs money? Apparently they think you have enough.
I hope things start looking up for you soon; HOWEVER, since you just gained a new follower, maybe you'll be "even Steven" like Jerry on Seinfeld.
ReplyDeleteJulie
Yes, Julie. I am back where I started. :)
