I Grieve- Peter Gabriel

 I really love this song.
It says exactly how I feel when someone that I love dies.

Everythin seems the same
and yet, it is not.

I hope you enjoy it.

  1. The song kind of expresses an understanding of a grieving person. My mom died in August of the same year and in September when the tragedy happened I realized that the pain of other people must have been several times more than of mine. My mom had a stroke and died of Cardiac Arrest but those who died in 9/11 were all healthy and fit.

    1. Munir, I think that grief is grief- no matter how the death happened. It all hurts. One of my cousins was murdered years ago and I felt the same as when family has died from a lingering illness.

  2. Thanks Ruth for sharing Peter Gabriel's song, Grieve, with us. Brings back memories.
Your line "everything seems the same and yet, it is not" sums it up beautifully. It is those left behind that must carry on - and carry with them the grief and sadness.

    1. Jenny, whenever someone I love dies, I play this. It makes me feel better in an odd sort of way.

By all the responses to your Garfield, I feel odd cause I actually thought of the president first.
