I Want Bundt Cake!

Thank you, Al Penwasser.
You and your K repost has given me another thing to crave.

I gave up wheat just a few days ago and my cravings have not yet gone completely away.

"Are you crazy?", you say.
That is yet to be determined.

I have survived the headaches and brain fog.
That and the fatigue.

Now, I feel pretty good.

I may have to change some of my recipes, but I am confident.

I was OK when Honeyman and I went to Subway.
I got a salad.
Good, but could have been bigger.
With more chicken.

But, than I check my email and there is a comment about bundt cake from that post.
Oh, yeah.
Bundt cake.

I make this fantastic lemon bundt cake.

   Ahhh, bundt cake.

    1. My body doesn't seem to like it as much as my taste buds do, unfortunately.

  3. Bundt cake-it's almost diet food because it has a hole in the middle. Then again, so do donuts. Hmmm....okay....diet...not so much. But, still....BUNDT cake! It's like a sore peter-you can't beat it.
Are you giving up wheat for Lent or for good?

    1. For good, maybe. My body has problems with eating it. So, if I can hack it, it's for the long haul. I see some experimental baking in my future.

    2. What other grains are available? Oats? Flan (I really don't know what that is)? Flax? Rice? Barley? Hops?
      Hmmmmmmmmm..........barley and hops.....................

    3. Flan is a kind of baked custard. Giada isn't Mexican or I am sure you would have seen her make one.
Flour is made from all kinds of stuff these days- nuts, coconut, rice and of course oat and you can use ground flax seeds.

  7. I've been trying bread/wheat free also for a few weeks. I was doing better when I also cut out sugar and was trying to minimize coffee.... tomorrow is another day! See you on the A-Z Challenges!

  8. Are you saying you went through wheat withdrawal?! Is it all gluten you've given up, or only wheat?

    1. Yeah, withdrawal on wheat. Isn't that a little freaky? Apparently some people go through it and some people don't.
Pretty much just wheat. I don't eat much of anything else with gluten in it though.

  9. It seems to never fail - you set a goal or give up something and then are constantly assaulted with that very thing! Good luck !

  10. It figures Al would lead you to Bundt cake. He has his ways. But I'm thinking it needs something like chocolate syrup. Sorry, you stay on a healthier track. One of us needs to.
