I just received this fabulous award from SherryE from Mama Diaries. If you are a parent, you can relate to her posts. If you aren't, I think you will still enjoy the tales.
As a stipulation of accepting the award, I must pass this award along to 15 (15? holy crap, that's a lot) other deserving bloggers.
I also need to share 7(7? holy crap, that's a lot) completely random pieces of information about yours truly.
That's a tall order, but I think I am up for it.
To the winners:
Come take your award, tag 15 people, tell us all 7 things about yourself, tell the tagees about their win, tell them what to do, and that is all.
So first my randomness-
1. George Carlin is my favorite comedian of all time. So what if he's dead? Never be another one to take his place.
2. I grow rhubarb.
3. I hate my Directv.
4. I can't go to bed or leave the house for more than an hour unless I do the dishes first. It's a compulsion.
5. I collect old glass decanters. I have 20 so far. New ones are OK, but they aren't so cool.
6. I have two older sisters. One comments here occasionally.
7. Sometimes( to be honest? most of the time) after starting to eat food served to me at at restaurant, I will think " I could do better". Well, I could.
Now onto the recipients:
1. KC from the Occasional Adventures of a Hermit. I just started checking out this blog and I think you should too.
2.Sue from Aeracura- A Blossoming Life. She reads, she runs, she blogs.
3. Interwebs Fails It makes me laugh every time.
4. Jayne from injaynesworld. Delightful commentary on the world we live in.
5.jdracecar from It's Always Funny in Columbubble. She a new mom so you get the cute baby pictures. You also get funny and rants.
6. Robyn from Life by Chocolate. She is very creative and loves her chocolate.
7. Lisa from The Spaghetti Westerner. She's a mom that lives in Vegas and loves her sandwiches.
8. Belle from Tales From a 1960s Flower Child. You get pictures, stories about family, and cartoons she made.
9. laughingmom at Where's the Funny Here?. She always finds something to laugh about.
10. Eva from Wrestling With Retirement. Funny, pictures, jokes, restaurant reviews. A place to make you smile.
11. Yvonne from Writing my life away!. Sometimes you get funny, sometimes introspective.
12. Melissa from Melissa Ann Goodwin- Writer on the Road. She is a writer going out on the road, just like it says.
13. Dawn from Lighten Up!. A funny view of life as Dawn sees it.
14. Judy from Life...Minute By Minute. She is a self-proclaimed shoot from the hip blogger.
15. That gentleman's lady at A funny old life. She lost her husband close to a year ago and this blog is about her moving through life after that.
Congratulations All!
I'll be around to let everyone know later on.
A gal who likes George Carlin...that's cool!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteI know what you mean about George Carlin. That was one funny guy. Even when he was on "Thomas the Tank Engine."
ReplyDeleteI forgot he was in that.
DeleteHe was MUCH better than Ringo Starr.
DeleteOf course he was. It is George we are talking about!
DeleteI liked George Carlin too. I used to grow my own rhubarb and make pies. They were so good. Thank you so much for the award; I really appreciate it.
ReplyDeleteMaybe you should grow it again. I am sure it would grow where you are. You are welcome.
DeleteI think Carlin was one of the few comedians who got better with age. Some of his last stuff was in my opinion his best
ReplyDeleteI agree with you about him getting better with age.
DeleteGeorge Carlin was on Thomas the Tank? Well, that's all the more reason to love him. And I'm sure you could do better. Have you considered opening a restaurant? I'd save for the airline ticket for those meals.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tag, Ruth. I'm honored.
xoRobyn
Robyn, you are so sweet. I've thought about a bakery before. Someday- maybe.
DeleteYou are welcome.
Ruth! Thanks for the shout out! And my boyfriend does the restaurant thing--especially when it comes to pasta. He always tells me I could make it better at home.
ReplyDeleteYou are so welcome, Sue. I bet you could. The food you write about sounds amazing!
DeleteWould you like to come over and do my dishes? LOL. I'll have to check out some of these other bloggers you've listed.
ReplyDeleteFunny you should say that. Once while babysitting I had a strong urge to do their dishes. Didn't know where everything was or where things went or I might have.
DeleteThat's sweet lady! I LOVE George Carlin too!!
ReplyDeleteCool! :)
DeleteThanks so much!! I LOVE George Carlin too and I have 2 older sisters too! :)
ReplyDeleteYou are welcome. I didn't know that.
DeleteBoy, isn't George Carlin sorely missed right about now? Thank so much for the kind words and award. I'll look forward to visiting the other recipients when I get my work done. Forgive me for not following the rules on this. It's a redhead thing. ;)
ReplyDeleteI am just glad I have a box set of all his concerts. And you are very welcome.
DeleteWell, I love both Carlin and rhubarb, so you know I consider you good people. And THANK YOU!!! FOR THE AWARD! I am very bad at posting these, but I really , really appreciate it, dearie. :)
ReplyDeleteI consider you good people too.:) You are welcome.
DeleteGlass Decanter collection. I've always envied people with collections, but since I am such a nomad I've never stuck around in one place long enough to collect things. People collected everything!
ReplyDeleteI never did collect anything til I met my husband. I guess he got me into it, he's a collector.
DeleteCongratulations ! How nice. I must have missed a lot og blog entries. Sorry about taking so long to catch up.
ReplyDeleteNever apologize, Munir. I am happy to see you whenever you comment. Thank you.
DeleteAww! Thanks so much for the award! I will do my part as soon as my week slows down. :)
