Ten Things Tuesday-Movies I Could Watch Over and Over

I have decide I am actually going to try  a regular post called Ten Things Tuesday.
It's not going to be a top ten per se.
Just a list of ten things that I like or don't like  on a certain topic.

I can't do top ten things.
I really hate when people ask me to pick my favorite song or movie or singer.
I just can't narrow it down.
I can list a handful.

That's the best I can do.
And these are in no particular order.

Today's topic is;

Ten movies I could watch over and over.

1. Team America: World Police
Hilarious. From the makers of South Park and everyone is a marionette.
"There is no I in Team America." " Yes, there is."

2. Ghostbusters
It's a classic. Keep #2, I'm good with the first.
     "OK, who brought the dog?"

3. The Princess Bride
One of my favorites since I was a teen.
" I do not think that word means what you think it means."

4. Lord of the Rings
    any of them, doesn't matter
    " I am no man!"

5. Indiana Jones
again any of them, even the Crystal Skull which so many people said sucked. Haters!
"Why did it have to be snakes?"

6. A Christmas Story.
Every year.  I even have the Ralphie bobble head.
    "You'll shoot your eye out!"

7. Dodgeball
     Good family fun.
    " Thank you, Chuck Norris."

8.  Without a Paddle
Three guys on a mission to find D.B Cooper. Funny.
      " Freeze perverts!"

9.  The Wedding Singer
Not just for people that lived through the 80s, Kiddo loves this movie.
" Take off my Van Halen t-shirt before you jinx it and the band breaks up."

10.  City Slickers
Middle aged dudes on a cattle drive. Billy Crystal and Bruno Kirby. Good times.
" I can't believe we buried horses." " We didn't really bury them.
The impact sort of drove them into the ground and we just covered them up."

So that's my list.
Is there any movies you could just watch over and over? So much that you can quote lines from that movie?

  4. City Slickers was pretty great and still holds up today. I love the 'Resident Evil' movies and those 'Final Destination' ones with all the creative ways of killing off young unknown movie stars though I don't like the 'Saw' movies as much as you think I would. 'Golden Voyage of Sinbad', 'Dr Strangelove', Jason and the Argonauts, and I know all the songs to the 'South Park Movie' true genius. But when I want to cry you can't do better than 'Legends of the Fall' - I love me some Tristan...oh and poor, poor, Samuel. He really was the best of all of them. Watch that movie and you will know what I am talking about. I like this new feature.

  5. I don't know if I could quote lines, that's just too much trivia for me, lol, but I do have movies I have watched several times a year for years. Some that come to mind: White Palace,Enchanted April,The Holiday, Maurice, Frequency, The Illusionist, Danny Deckchair, The Abyss, Something's Gotta Give, and As Good As It Gets. I love movies and watch many a year, but there has to be a bit of romance in it for me to watch it repeatedly.

  6. I love 3,4,5,9,&10. My favs are Casablanca, Arsenic and Old Lace, The Big Sleep, The Maltese Falcon (all old movies). New ones - Star Wars and Star Trek and many others.

  7. That's easy: anything with Russell Crowe in it, especially Gladiator, the Bourne movies, The Godfather I and II (III was kind lame), and My Big Fat Greek Wedding, I'll watch them over and over, and yes I know the lines too.

  8. Tracy,
Your SO sounds like a keeper to me.

    Kal,
I just saw Legends of the Fall for the first time a couple months back. Pretty good.

    Yvonne,
Honeyman and I are always quoting movie lines to each other. I really don't watch many romance movies.

    Belle,
I have seen Arsenic and Old Lace many times. I love Cary Grant plus growing up every time it was one my mom had to watch it.

    Alex,
Honeyman loves Gladiator too. I imagine for whole other reasons though. :)

  9. You are right. It is hard to pick a favorite. I love The Princess Bride!! Definitely a classic.
Where did you get the Bobble Head? My brother watched that movie growing up nonstop, year round. I got him a leg lamp nightlight one year for Christmas!!
(By the way - nice to meet you!)

  10. Heather,
It's nice to me you too. Honeyman and Kiddo bought me the 20th anniversary edition DVD one year and it came with the bobble head in it. I've thought about getting the lamp but don't know where I would put it.
