Hello May!

Are you there?
Somewhere?

You can see the top of our turtle enclosure. Poor Rainbow had to come back in after some nice sunny days outside.
The snow is wet and very heavy.
One side of the bird feeder is full of snow so the poor birdies can't get any food. They are crowding around the open sides.

And whoever heard of a snow day in May?

  1. I have friends in Arkansas who were under a winter weather advisory yesterday! And here I was in SE Michigan wearing shorts & a t-shirt. Crazy!

    1. Lisa, two days ago, it was A/C worthy. My cousin said it was snowing in the Fayetteville area this morning. Very weird, definitely!

    1. Gail, all spring Mother Nature has been teasing us. It starts to warm up. Cools down and back and forth. I hope the warm will stay soon.

    1. Yvonne, our grass was all green, the buds were about ready to open and BAM came the cold. My husband found some dead tree frogs that didn't survive the freeze.

  6. My GOD...can Iowa catch a break?
Winter in May, followed by tornadoes, followed by blistering heat of summer, followed by never-ending winter again.
At least the Indian attacks have pretty much settled down.
    And you have good corn.
And are nowhere near New Jersey....hmmm...come to think of it, I'd take winter in May.

  11. I'm feeling a little guilty now after posting about my Sunday outing down to our sun drenched beaches - yikes you've got it bad down there. Well, I say pack up Honeyman and sweet child and come on up for a visit! Lord knows you deserve a break or two!

Hugs to turtle, birds, sweet corn and you! Hope May finds her way to your house soon - before June beats her to it.

    1. Yes, Lynn, it is. It only stayed a couple days. It was so nice than the snow came and now it is nice again. Well, we have rain today, but it is still warm.
