Drawing a Line

Sometimes that is what you gotta do.
Over the last few weeks I have become increasing frustrated with doing surveys.

They are paying less.
They are starting to implement fees to pay me.
They are sending less surveys.

The less surveys I get.
The paying less to do longer surveys is not kosher.
The charging of fees on top of that is just...
Enough is enough.

Now some sites are "improving" things.
Translation= it is going to suck for you, but deal with it.

I have decided to change things.
The surveys helped out for a long time.

But, it taking too much time for what I am getting now.

Trying to make money with that is taking time away from the ebook I started.
It got messed up so I have to start over.

I decided to take more time on my blogs, which have gotten very neglected lately.
Blogging is my outlet and I need that.

I did make a facebook page for Ruth's Yummy Stuff. I also gave that blog it's own domain. If you want to check out my blog, click the link above.
If you'd like to check Ruth's Yummy Stuff on facebook, you can do that by clicking here.
I don't have much on there yet.

Making the decision to phaseout doing surveys has been tough.
But, in other ways I feel better.

What's really going to suck is to have to shell out money for things instead of just using the amazon gift money in my account.

    1. Adam, surveys take a lot of effort. When you first start, it seems harder to be able to do any. At one time, I did pretty good.

    2. Yes it was. But things do change. It's like mystery shopping. It used to pay a lot better than now. Some jobs has the audacity to pay you $4.00 for a 2 hour shop. That's crazy and I don't do those anymore.

    3. I was always a little leery of trying the mystery shopping.

  4. I have never done surveys. I never used the internet to make any money. I do know however what it is to change jobs. Good Luck!

  9. Sometimes you just have to stop what is no longer working for you.
I have never done any paid surveys, the ones that usually come my way are usually unpaid and ignored

    1. Mynx, You're right. The good old days of making much doing surveys is gone.
The ones that don't pay or give sweepstakes entries are a joke.

  10. Oh wow - I know about making tough decisions to pursue the dream of writing a book! That's why my blog is so neglected lately. Sounds like you made the right choice, though. Good luck, Ruth!

  11. I gave up on the surveys as well awhile ago. The first time I saw someone was going to charge me, forget it. It's not worth my time.

    1. Sara, over the last few years I whittled down the number of places I did them through. There were some that were still good. Now, I am going to finish cashing out on the rest. Hopefully that won't take too long.

  12. Paid surveys? Does that mean some Nosey Parker pays you for answering a lot of questions? What's to stop you from fibbing?

    1. Gorilla, nothing. If everyone told the truth on every survey for every answer, they would not be doing many surveys. We lie and they pretend we didn't. But, be consistent or you will get booted.
