Everything Xanadu

I bet you thought Xanadu was just a movie.
Not so!

All thing Xanadu:
Well, that I could find using one search engine.

Rush performing Xanadu in 1977.

Xanadu Island Resort
It's eco-friendly and in the Caribbean.

Xanadu Australia
A cyber way of storing information. Check it out. You may understand better than me.

Project Xanadu
The original hypertext project. Sounds similar to Xanadu Australia.

Not only was Xanadu a film, it was a musical and a song and it's on Broadway.

It was also the summer capital of Kublai Khan's Yuan Dynasty.
It was originally named Kaiping.

Electric Light Orchestra(aka ELO) performed Xanadu with Olivia Newton John

  1. As I recall, Fred Astaire was in Xanadu, too!

Blog is up again. Ugh. I hate when that happens!

    1. Gail, I didn't know that.
I thought I lost this post. I was almost done and my browser crashed. I got lucky, cause it does suck!

    3. They both danced and are dead. Easy enough to make that mistake. :)

  2. Thank you for including that ELO/ONJ Xanadu song (ain't I the clever dickens with acronyms?). It brought back memories.
And, on behalf of those who came of age in the 1970s (I know the song was released in 1980, but it still reeked of the disco age), I'd like to apologize for our goofy ass wardrobe, the hair, and, especially, the roller skates.

    1. Al, How could I have a post without that song?
I am glad you enjoyed it.
Every decade had their fashion mishaps. I was born in '71- I remember wearing some of them.

    1. Oooh, I wish I had thought of Xenu. I could have made that interesting. But then no Olivia Newton John video. Which would I choose? That would be a thinker.
