Insane OR Not

Sometimes I feel like I am just losing it.

I feel like someday someone is going to come home and find me sitting in a corner, my hair all sticking up, and strumming my lips with my finger.

I've got so much to do and not enough time to do it.
I have so many things to buy and fix and not enough money to do them.

So much to worry about and very little I can really do about any of it.

We all like to believe we have control of our own lives.
We have control over parts of it.

But, other people say when we work, how much we will get paid, what food we are able to buy and not buy, and the list goes on and on.

I like to know things.
But, I wonder if sometimes I would be happier just not knowing.
Ignorance is bliss and all that.

What if I never heard about the TPP or GMOs or antibiotic filled meat and pink slime?
What if I didn't know about the core curriculum or that the whooping cough outbreaks occurred in children that had been vaccinated?
What if I kept drinking the fluoride?

I just don't know.

  1. I don't think it is you. So much has changed in this country. I wish it was as easy as the world just tilted on it's axis a little bit, but I don't think that is the answer either.

    1. Gossip_Grl, It just all became about the money and allowing the government to take our freedoms in exchange for "being safe". Common sense went out the window.
I wish it was that simple.

  3. Maybe you need to watch a good comedy. Last night I found Bradley Cooper and Kevin Spacey impersonating other actors on YouTube, I guess. They were so good and so funny. (I have a new blog address, BTW)

  4. Well, you could trying growing your own vegetables to have one less thing to worry about. What's wrong with fluoride anyway?

    1. Gorilla Bananas, I do grow a huge garden so that does help.
Fluoride should be used topically only to get any benefits. It can cause skin rashes and mouth sores. Most commonly, it lowers IQ. Most of what gets added to drinking water is not naturally occuring. It's basically industrial waste.

  5. Yeah, I sometimes think life would be much easier if I was stupid. But then I see or talk to a stupid person and I think, "Thank goodness I'm not stupid." Think how annoying you'd/we'd be.

    1. Robyn, that is true. Being clueless isn't really the answer.

  6. Information overload these days. One day something you eat is a miracle cure, the next day it will kill you.
    No wonder everybody is confused.
Common sense seems to be getting lost in the white noise

    1. Mynx, so true. I think the day that they started asking "experts" is the day it all started to go down hill.

  7. I don't want to be clueless or not knowing - but lately I deliberately turn a deaf ear to much of it and do what I want to do, anyway. Seems everybody is an expert. I don't know who to believe.

    1. Coffee Lady, I never take just one person's word for anything. I am always checking this and that and than add that to my own beliefs or physical reactions(if it is health) and go from there.
