  1. Oh, no. I wouldn't eat the duck, cat, dog, fish or even noodles. Yuck. How do they stay in business?

  2. That's too funny, Ruth. It would make me wonder what happened to Fluffy after I took her to the vets to be put down - really… Ah, what did you say was in the stir-fry? hahaha

  3. OMG That is hilarious and made me think about my niece. We had a Chinese take out beside of a pet store. My niece ordered and went to pick up her food and kept hearing a cat meow. She's a blonde and asked about the cat she heard. They freaked out so bad on her she left without her food. :)

  5. True story- when I was in high school, there was an article in the newspaper about a Chinese restaurant in town getting a fine because they were catching seagulls. Nobody believes me and after an entire summer of looking for it on micro fiche, I never could find it- but I know it was there. Secondly, when our cat Lenny died, it was at the Animal Hospital RIGHT BEHIND a Chinese restaurant. We paid and extra $80 to take his body because Matt was adamant he didn't want our dead cat to be the lunch special.

    1. Sara, Eww. I can believe it. I've seen articles before and never could find it later.
You had to pay to take the body? Good for Matt.

  6. Hmmm, this reminds me of a lunch I had once at work. A friend was going to a Chinese restaurant to pick up lunch and asked me if I wanted pork on a stick. I said sure, but what she brought back didn't taste like pork and was very dark meat. She casually commented that the place had been fined because of the many cat carcass remains in the dumpster. The pork on a stick went into the garbage :)

  7. Having eaten at many a seedy looking Chinese restaurant, I'm sure I've ingested cat or dog or both at least once in my life. Just don't tell my cats or my dogs.
