It's a Miracle!

I have water!
Not tons and tons.

The toilet fills up on it's own and the faucet has water coming out.

Do you know what this means?

I have water!

I still have to ration
unless it starts to rain more regularly.

But, I don't have to rush into making a decision about drilling a new drill or dumping water down my well and possibly collapsing the brick walls or even hooking into rural water.

I am not sure how it went from being so dry that the hand pump couldn't bring water up to the electric pump being able to pull it into the house in only a couple days.
The hand pump goes down deeper.

I am not going to question it.
I am just going to be grateful that it happened.

For now, I am so happy.

It's a good day!

YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  1. Gratitude! I love it. :-)

Glad you have water. Sounds funny, in a way, but having been without water myself, when you don't have it, you sure miss it!

    1. Thanks, Pearl. It seems like a small thing, but when it's gone it seems like a really big thing.

  2. Yes Ruth, my powers work! See, you have water! All because I put a good word in for you with my pals out there in the Universe! (big silly grin)

Ahhhh...it puts a smile on my face reading this post. May bad weather prevail and may a good deluge be yours in the near future. But only enough to fill your well and not drown you! :P

    Cheers, Jenny

    1. Aw, Jenny, I thought of you and your rain dance. You do have powers!
Is it strange that we look through the weather forecast and get happy when there is even a small chance of rain?

  3. The neighbors may have poked fun at you, but see how dressing up in feathers and cavorting about the front yard works?

    1. Al, seeing as how they hook a sled up to their truck and drag the kids around in the cornfield, I don't feel they have any room to talk.
The other ones are too far away to see my fine feathery.

  4. I never get water shortages here. We have a pretty good water company.

    1. Adam, I am on well water and that's why I ran out. IA is also in a drought and some towns are starting to talk about possible water restrictions.
One plus of municipal water is that you always have it.

  5. It's amazing how thankful we can be over the simple things. We lost power at one time and it was out for 1 1/2 days. When it finally came back on I was so happy I cried. lol
