Are You All Still With Me?

So, it has been awhile since my last post.
Not sure how long because I didn't check.
But, Blogger has changed a little on the posting page so...
Well, ya know.

I did complete my jury duty early.
It took all day to select the jury so the lady said we could consider that duty fulfilled.
I did not get picked.
Obviously, when you know people that have been convicted of sexual crimes and people that have been the victim of a sexual crime, that pretty much means serving on the trial about sexual abuse is not going to happen.

Kiddo got her driver's license.
Hello, Chauffeur!

I've been working on some ways to make some extra money til I can get something steady.

I am working on getting things done with stuff from the garden.
I still need to get herbs to dry and cook up my long neck pumpkins, and finish digging sweet potatoes.

I suffered a setback healthwise, so I am off of refined sweeteners for no.
I tried the low/no sugars, but I lost weight I could not afford to lose.
Just gotta get my body back into balance.

So, that's it.
Now, I gotta go puree some pumpkin.

  1. I only served on a jury once about 25 years ago. It was frustrating.

    1. I am curious as to the outcome. Why some people were picked and others not kinda baffled me.

  2. I'm still here (is that a good thing?).
I remember the day my daughter got her driver's license.
At 9:30 that evening, she told me that she needed something from the store for school the next day. As I went to get my car keys, it suddenly dawned on me.
I put the keys back, looked at her, and said, "Yeah, hey, good luck with that. I'm going to bed."

  4. Ugh on the jury duty. :/ I try to get outta that whenever possible and by any means. I hate getting called up for that. I'm not sure if it's the whole waiting for the phone call thing but it's like a life interrupted. Can't go out for drinks cause I may get called at that moment for jury duty. :/

Congrats to your daughter on the drivers license! Shoot I remember those days right after my kids got theirs and one of them begging to borrow to car that day at that very minute. I gave in and then a few hours later he called apologizing about the bumper.

    1. Gossip_Grl, We have to call in the Friday before to see if there are jury trials the next week. If our number is called, we have to call in the night before to see if it is still a go. But, lucky me, the lady goofed and said no trials for the week and I get a call on Monday stating that there was trial and I had to come in Wed. morning.
She got a car from her grandparents and has already given it a few dings. None since she got her license though,

    1. Gail, I am getting there. Unfortunately, it is a very log and slow process, but that is how it goes.
