It Gives You Pause

But, then you stop and think.
You remember that really overly large man mentioned in "Ripley's Believe It or Not" that was buried in a piano case because he wouldn't fit in a casket.
That leads to realizing that they make XL size caskets these days so they would have to have XL size vaults to seal the caskets and so they probably need a little extra room in the plot.

In conclusion, I don't think the person that came up with this knew what the hell they were talking about.

But, it sounds nice.

  1. I want to be cremated. That would be smaller.

  2. Yep, another idiot that shouldn't write quotes for everybody to read.

    1. Alex, I really wonder about people sometimes. Not just the writers, but also the people that think these are profound and share them all over. Then there's me that ruins it all. :)

  3. I chuckled at Alessandra's comment - I'll second that!

Had the quoter maybe said something like "whether cremated, or buried in a box the big ticket stuff stays behind and so does the impression we left on people"… wow, how profound (not!)… hahahaha
I have very little and it'll probably fit in the urn with me… yup, that little! :)

  4. Oh Jenny, you made me think of something Honeyman's grandpa used to say- If you stomped all the shit out of a Texan, you could bury what's left in a shoe box.
Not that you are full of shit. It just reminded me, that's all.

    1. I cracked up - laughed out loud - made my wee dog freak… yup, that was funny.

Oh, and so there's no mistake - my eyes are brown… I'm so full of it! hahahahahahha Good thing I'm buckled into my chair otherwise I'd be rolling on the floor. I once told a blogging friend that I had to have a seatbelt on my computer chair for all the times I would literally come across something so funny I'd fall off… this was one of those times.

      Thanks for the laugh!

  6. If it helps which it probably won't but maybe we don't have the same casket sizes but everyone is buried 6 feet under except for those like me who want to be cremated.
