I meant to do this sooner.
But, I forgot.
Once the challenge was over, I decided to rest a couple days.
And a couple more.
Then my hands didn't feel like typing.
So, I waited a couple more days.
I saw Robyn's post and thought "Shit, I need to do that!"
So, I went to bed and laid there and when I finally got up this morning, I decided I must get it done.
I have done the challenge for a few years now.
A couple of years, I did it on both of my blogs.
I took a break from it last year and just did it on this blog this time.
One day I lost a follower and gained a different one.
Interesting.
I also gained a handful more.
They are just numbers, but it feels better when they go up.
When they go down, I have this feeling like "what did I do?".
I did have fun.
I found out that many people really seem to like potatoes.
Did I bounce around to as many blogs as I probably should have?
No. I will admit that.
A couple years ago, I spent so much time trying to get to everyone and leave a comment that it was just too much.
So, I decided to take it easy and do what I could on my terms.
My main goal of this challenge has always been to see if I could do it.
Finding new blogs come secondary.
Gaining followers come a distant third.
You, know, after watching the show The Following, followers kinda takes on a new meaning.
I know the talk about how we are a big community and commenting is a big part.
And that is true.
To a point.
Most of us blog for some interaction.
But, we also do it for ourselves.

Ten Things Tuesday- Realizations from A-Z
Yes, it's late.
But, it's still Tuesday in my world so I still have time to get this in.
I wasn't sure about doing a reflections post for the A-Z blogging challenge.
Than I figured.
Hey- free idea. Awesome.
This week's Ten Things Tuesday is about realizations I came to during the April A-Z blogging challenge of 2012.
1. Lots of people like themes.
That's just too much discipline for me. I am a winger. That's what I do. If you don't like it, get off the bus.
2. I can write some funny stuff.
I am not gonna lie. I wrote a few things that made me laugh. Ok, maybe more than a few. I find myself hilarious.
3. Some people don't like my humor.
I know! Are you as amazed as I am? Some people really seemed offended by my blasphemy picture. Deep down, I had a feeling that might happen. They got off the bus.
4. I am never gonna make it through the linky list.
I still haven't gotten through. But, I did better this year than last. There is just so many and I am just one person. If you made it through that gigantic list, let me know so you can bask in my adulation of your awesomeness.
5. I hate the comment "Thanks for stopping by."
I've said it. I am sure you have too. You write it when you have nothing else. I wrote it when I got some not so flattering comments on a post. Now, I hate it. I don't want to do it anymore and I don't want to get it back from people. I'd rather have no answer. Just makes me cringe. Thanks or thank you is OK, though. I don't now why. It just is!
6. I missed my regular blogs.
I didn't get to most of the ones I normally read. I tried to get to a few. I hated missing posts.
7. I needed more sleep.
Some nights I lay awake in bed trying to think what my word was going to be for the next day.
8. That person took my word!
I was going for originality so if I saw that someone used a word before I wrote my post, I went with another word. If it was already written, I just went with it.
9. I don't know why some bloggers don't have more followers.
The writer is interesting and/or funny. I really don't get how some people have this huge following and others have almost none. Some really big bloggers aren't as fun to read.
10. Pounding my head on my keyboard will not cause ideas to pop into my head.
Nor will it write the post. It happens when you just wing it!
