What is tougher than having ONE computer in a house made up of three people?
Remember, one of those said people is a teenager.
My daughter is out of school for the summer.
And she had to return the macbook back to the school for the summer too.
Honeyman uses the internet to sell or try to sell things on ebay.
I do surveys and blog related activities.
My daughter writes stories, and chats with people.
We all have to sleep so it gets pretty interesting trying to find time to peruse the world wide web.
Technically, we do have another computer.
Sure, it's a Windows 98 SE and there is no monitor.
But, there it is.
It is also slower than shit and not wi-fi compatible.
On the plus side, I am finding more time to clean my house and other things I really don't want to do.
Well, looking at the clock, I see my computer time is about to come to an end til...
...I don't know.
Be seeing you, when I can.
Holy crap, Ruth. I can SO relate to this. When my tyrant son is at home, he monopolizes the computer.
ReplyDeleteI had just fired up the computer this morning and JUST sat down in front of it when my daughter came in, all LONG SUFFERING FACE, because SHE wanted the computer. Sigh.
Karen, it's a pain isn't it?
DeleteYes, it definitely is!
DeleteGreat Googli Moogli (I love how Sherilin taught me that phrase)! One computer????? We have...let's see, the main Mac (on which I type now), my laptop (which is kind of a POS, but I use it to type blogs, my book, and other assorted word processing stuff-which I then transfer to the Mac), another PC laptop (which we got when the Mac crapped out for a time last summer), and my son's laptop (which we bought for him for his high school graduation). Now that my daughter is getting ready to go to college, we'll be buying her her own laptop.
ReplyDeleteAnd I remember when we had no computers or...good golly...no cell phones.
Al, wow. I can't imagine that. I don't have a cell phone either.
DeleteTime to save up for your own! We need more posts from you.
ReplyDeleteGail, I had forgotten why I wanted another one. Now, I remember.
DeleteI haven't shared a PC in years, wouldn't want to go back
ReplyDeleteAdam, hopefully you never have to.
DeleteHi Ruth, just stopping by to say hello, I missed you. I haven't been too well, but I'm trying to get better. Hope you get more computer time soon...
ReplyDeleteHey Alex! It's good to hear from you. I've been worried. I hope you do get better.
DeleteThat would be hard! I think I'd be going into withdrawal if I had to share my computer/internet time. Though you are right, it does help you to be more productive elsewhere

Corgi, It's not so bad during the school year.Right now it isn't too fun.
DeleteI feel your pain. Just a few months ago, the computer I am using now was the only one in my house. A few other people live here, which means I only used it on weekends when everyone else was busy having a life.
ReplyDeleteNellie, I know all about having no life. It's not a good time.
DeleteOh man I'd miss my computer if I had to share it with three others.
ReplyDeleteI do remember those days of "family computers"
It does get tricky trying to get everything done.
